What is Perfect

There is no way to have a perfet world or community.

Motto, Seal, and Flag

The motto of my island is "Don't get kicked off the island.".

This is the seal.

The Veldt

The theme of "More is not always better". They have everything but still complain. I don't have everything but I am still happy. The quote "That sounds dreadful! Would I have to tie my own shoe instead of letting the shoe tier do it? And brush my own teeth and comb my hair and give myself a bath?". I have to do that every day and still ok with it.

Architecture

     The geographic of my island is flat. We are not isolated from people. We are close to main land. We get our energy from solar panels. We have protction of a sea wall.

Government

     I rule my island. There are no branches of government. The leader position  is passed down in my family. It is the first child born that takes over when i die and so on. The first law is to follow the laws. The second is to respect everyone and thing. The third is don't lie. The consequence for breaking the laws is being kicked off the island. There is a court system to decided if you should be kicked off the island. There is a jury, too. There is police. They keep it in order. There is no prison. There is medicare for everyone.

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY

The Community Planner will prepare, organize, and implement community-based neighborhood planning projects. These projects require excellent organizational, facilitation, and communication (written and oral) skills, as well as research and technical abilities. This position will oversee community planning activities with broad process/program responsibilities, representing the department and City to a variety of community organizations. Lead the effort for this new approach to delivery of City services, and information to the public. Coordinate a comprehensive approach to community-based neighborhood planning.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1) Develop, coordinate and monitor work programs and flow for community planning activities, such as preparation of community development plans, community revitalization plans or physical neighborhood improvements.

2) Help facilitate the organization of community, neighborhood and business groups in order for them to be pro-active in development of community or neighborhood-based plans. Once organized, provide facilitation, information and resources to ensure that these groups are successful.

3) Respond to questions and explain planning process to customers, citizens and businesses as needed. Create, maintain, and update all records relating to project files.

4) Respond to public inquiries of the planning process and public policy information. Advise appointed and elected officials on public policy, planning procedures, comprehensive and special plans, and regulatory ordinances. Participate in inter-governmental committees as assigned to analyze, evaluate, and resolve public policy issues.

5) Assist, or lead efforts to revise ordinances to implement new concepts, legislation, or policies. Prepare goals, objectives and policy statements for boards, commissions and citizen committees to consider for inclusion in the Comprehensive Plan.

6) Administer and maintain agreements and contracts with public agencies, funding agencies, and private organizations. Monitor technical work of consultants, contracting agencies, and other organizations to insure contract compliance.

7) Develop, implement and maintain methodologies for data collection and analysis.

8) Prepare staff reports, oral presentations and visual aids on proposed policy or plan changes to boards, commissions and community groups.

INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS

Position maintains a very high profile in the community with media exposure and frequent contact with the public, other agencies, and other elected and appointed officials within the City. Regular, extensive interaction will occur with citizen advisory groups, and city staff. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships is required. Requires the skills to keep multiple tasks on target in a positive and organized way.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL CAPABILITIES

Requires the ability to prioritize, plan, organize, implement and evaluate a wide variety of tasks. Service to the customers of the department is given highest priority. Tasks are often undertaken with time requirements and the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities. Must utilize computer applications to perform the work of the position, including word processing, permit tracking, and spreadsheets. Also, may be assigned duties to implement computer graphic, mapping and geographic information system development and administration.

JOB CONDITIONS

Duties are performed in an office environment requiring sitting for extended periods, walking under field conditions and occasional lifting under 20 lbs. Frequent evening meetings will occur.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

♦

Four year degree in urban, regional, or city planning, or a closely related field; or five years of previous community planning experience.

♦ Two years experience working in community planning, one year of which should be either in a local or regional planning office, or a non-profit organization

♦ Required proficiency in word processing software with the ability to operate data base programs within six months of employment.

♦ Valid Washington State driver’s license.

Utopian Street Art

      Street art is visual art developed in public places. This describes my utopia because you are taking a risk when you caome to my utopia.

Individuality

        My society encourages individuality. Everyone has different styles.  They can give their own opinion, and I chose if i want to follow. They can chose what job they want, what clothes they want to wear, or what they want to do. I wouldn't want my city to be like the The Community in The Giver. They don't get their own choices. Being yourself is very important.

Daily Life and Economy

     My Utopian island is where people can come and enjoy life on an island. An Utopian lifestyle means to do what you enjoy. They spend their days doing their jobs,school or to play golf. Some of the jobs could be to barter,teachers,landscapers,hunters,farmers,doctor, and miners. You get paid the same amounts unless you are a teacher or miner. If you don't have a legitimate reason for not going to school or work, after 7 days you will be kicked off the island. You get the same schedule every week, and you get the weekend off. From the age of 8-16 you have to go to school. After that you can chose what job you want(which you have to learn from the people already working there) or you can leave the island. After the age of 50 you have the option to retire. On the weekends you have free time. You can do what ever you want during the free time. You can watch TV after you are done with your job or after school. The TV can pick up any channel in the world. You prepare your own food which you can get from the store. Everyone gets all of the same rights until you break them you will be kicked off the island. When someone gets sick they are transported to the doctor. They have to pay the doctor with their own money. I do not want my utopia to be like any utopia before it.

Unique, exclusive private island with total privacy. A private harbour, untouched woods, beautiful lush parks, open fields, striking lake views and a tastefully designed main residence, a mini-mansion. Also on the island is a landing strip and 6 tee-off areas for golf practice.

The secluded villa, hunting lodge and stables are located on the main island and surrounded by a very large lawn. Here you can land your private prop airplane, play soccer, do some riding or enjoy unstructured golfing.
100 metres from the villa is the private, protected bay, and a 50 metres quay that provides plenty of space for your own, and your friends' boats. This is the place to begin great fishing trips in your own private fishing waters, take a boat ride out to Mälaren's over 1000 islands or the beautiful archipelago of Stockholm.
This island is also unique due to its central location. The capital of Sweden is about an hour away by boat or car, and from there you have swift access to the Stockholm archipelago. Strängnäs airport lies only 30 km from the island, with three international airports within a 60-90 km radius.
The property even has a historical 11th century Viking stronghold, a dramatic landscape with approximately 30 metres high rocks rising out of the lake. The island boasts a variey of wildlife, such as deer, hares and beavers. Even elks can be seen on occasion.

• New villa, approximately 230 sq metres. It is made using sturdy timber taken from the island's own trees: taking us back to former Scandinavian construction traditions.
• 100 metres from the harbour: the island's rustic timber houses and green meadows
• Hunting lodge with morning sun and private wine111 cellar.
• Private wood quay, 50 metres long. Evening sun and sailboat depth. The protected location - combined with the quay's generous dimensions - make it an ideal place for private parties and outdoor dining. Here you can go for a swim in Lake Mälaren, where the water reaches up to 26° C in the summer. It is also the departure point for fishing trips in your own fishing waters - or a boat ride out to Stockholm's stunning archipelago.
• Pasture land for horses. Stables, machine room and staff quarters.
• Historic hill fort dated to the Stone, Bronze and Iron ages.
• Apart from the island, the property also includes the two small Skinnpälsarna islands and a water area of around 2 million square metres (207 hectares). Here you can hunt sea birds, go fishing with nets or rods : as well as fish for crayfish.

The building comes without furnishing. There are plans for a new building.
